The Rockland County YMCA is Making a Genuine Impact on Children and families in Rockland County.  This year we will be honoring Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick with our Community Service Award, Nyack High School Principal Nicole Saieva – with the Service to Youth Award, Katrina Christopher Peel the NYS Youth & Government Governor – with the Youth Leadership award, and Chuck Maze our former CEO with the George M. Schofield Distinguished Service award. 

We will also honor students from our Youth & Government program for their leadership and dedication: Abigail Casimire, Amy Kugelman, Niquita Varier, Teige Beaudry, Matthew Tobin, Ailish MacDonnell, Melanie Kalishian, Rebecca Mathew. Please join us in celebrating their amazing accomplishments on Thursday May 26, 2022.

The Y is the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The Rockland County YMCA continues to develop healthy spirit, mind and body through a variety of programs:

Our YMCA served more than 3845 members and 329 program participant members (boys, girls, men and women), at 22 locations in communities throughout Rockland County.

The YMCA continued its program expansion in North Rockland which served children, from pre-school through teens.

The YMCA conducts five (5) after school programs in cooperation with the North Rockland School District serving 216 children Kindergarten through middle school.

Our North Rockland Summer Camp Program in Pomona served more than 300 campers, ages 5-14 years old.

The YMCA Youth and Government Program had 70 students from Nyack, Pearl River, North Rockland and South Orangetown Schools who participated in the New York State Conference in Albany.

More than 500 youth benefited from swimming, fitness and sports programs.
