The Rockland County YMCA is Making a Genuine Impact on Children and families in Rockland County. This year we will be honoring Chuck Maze our CEO and President. Chuck has served the YMCA movement for over 40 years! His servant leadership has helped thousands of people by way of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Respnsibility. Chuck & his wife Maureen continue to actively participate in YMCA activities. Please join us in celebrating his amazing legacy on Friday December 3, 2021.
We are also honoring our Chief Volunteer Officer - Kim Coons. Kim has been an integral part of the YMCA since she and her husband Mort Korn joined the Y and their children attended swim lessons and child care in the 1990s. Kim and Chuck have tirelessly helped the YMCA expand in both facilities, participation and mission.
Our Service to Youth honoree is James Marshall. James has been a volunteer for our teen program for the past 5 years and currently serves on the Nyack School District Board of Education. Together with his wife Lynnette and children, the Marshall Family has been a constant source of inspiration and participation in so many of our youth programs such as Youth and Government.
The Night of MAGIC stands for Making A Genuine Impact on Children and the proceeds will benefit many YMCA youth programs including swim lessons, youth sports, After School Programs, the Y's Beginnings Preschool, Youth and Teen memberships, Summer Camp, and Teen Leadership and Mentoring Programs for high school girls (GTO) and boys(SUITS), and the YMCA Youth and Government Programs.
